  1. I think it's worth it just for this use.
  2. I've had the same problem with residue from the Press N Seal. I managed to get it off but had to repaint the area. I highly recommend it to use on open containers of paint. After use, wipe the edge off, put a piece of PNS on it and screw the lid on. No more almost impossible to remove sticking lids.
  3. Get yourself some stirring sticks. Panera Bread has nice ones. Get a roll of 2 sided tape with foam in the middle. Cut a strip of tape and stick it to the stirring stick. Put whatever grit of sandpaper you want on the tape. Trim the excess if you want. I like to leave a little so I can use the edge of the stick to sand tight places.
  4. I A/B Testors Clears over decals and it works fine.
  5. I use a plastic soft drink bottle. Put a piece of double sided tape on the cap and attach the body to it. I put some sand or gravel in the bottom of the bottle to aid in stability. I had a pic on the forum here but can't find it.
  6. Nitrile is all I use. Never have had a problem. I always spray my models with a solution of 80% distilled water and 20% isopropyl alcohol (91%) and dry with compressed air before painting.
  7. I think you answered your own question, Skip. Different browser.
  8. Great work! I've got one that's about 90% done with the exception of the floor pan and it's attached parts. It was warped and I managed to break it. I'll try again sometime to finish it and hope it comes out as nice as yours.
  9. Great job! This model was the first one I finished when I returned to the hobby. It's an easy build and one that I recommend for beginners or as a confidence booster, if needed. At the time I finished mine, I needed a boost after a few failures.
  10. Go Big Orange! Cool stuff!
  11. I was just thinking, why does he have a shipping charge with a price like that? Maybe he meant 99 cents and fell asleep on the 9 button.
  12. I believe that the sanding cloths contain silicone. As Bill said, that will cause fisheyes. Follow his recommendation and WASH THOROUGHLY! I always use Dawn. Get the blue stuff with no moisturizers in it.
  13. +1 I paint with lacquers and they're tough to remove. You might also need to use a stiff bristle brush with the alcohol on some places.
  14. Great work!
  15. I like this place. http://www.hobbylinc.com
  16. Some use the small metal ferrules that you can find in the sewing section at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc.
  17. I've got one of those that I just started. Still haven't decided what to do about the ridiculously large A pillar. It's looks totally out of scale.
  18. My sentiments exactly! Thanks for sharing!
  19. My wife and I swear that they watch us on camera and quit carrying stuff we like.
  20. Great job! I have one of those to build.
  21. I use it to fill small imperfections, Multiple thin coats, maybe 5-7 minutes between them.
  22. I enjoyed watching this GP as much as any I've seen in quit a while. Fun to have a team to pull for. I'm glad Alonso is OK.
