There are so many I'd like to see!

But, some standouts...full detail of course.

TVR 280i Tasmin. I know they're horrible, but I've wanted a real one for ages.

Volvo P1800, could be modded into a Cyan, great restomod base, could also be optioned as a wagon.

The exotics are cool, but I'd rather have some of the cars that once were commonplace. If it would be cheaper, I'd happily buy curbside or full detail versions of any of these. As a kid of the eighties, most of my peers were into muscle, but I read Car & Driver and wanted those cool European cars.

For German cars, how about an MB 70s 240D and 80s 300GD in sedan and wagon versions? New tool E30, E34 and 39 BMWs would be nice. I know Fujimi did some of these, but they don't look quite right to my eye and they seem hard to get. For Audi, I'd buy a mid 80s 4000 and 5000 sedan.

I spent a lot of time in southern Italy in the 90s and any of the Italian daily drivers from that time would be cool. We'd see these small sedans or wagons packed full of family, with two weeks of vacation supplies tied to the roof, heading for Napoli to catch the ferry to Capri.

With French cars, my choices would be a Peugeot 505 and a 205 in daily driver and rally versions.

I’m not American or Canadian, but if I may contribute my two euro cents, it is beyond me why the model kit of Mercedes W113 “Pagoda” does not yet exist.

Airfix had a very nice 280SL kit in 1/32, but those are hard to find now, and a 1/24 version would be nice.

Growing up in British Columbia in the '60s and early '70s,  regular British cars were actually a pretty common sight on the roads.  Lots of good suggestions so far, and if I gave you my wish list, we'd be here all day, but here's my top three:

Lamborghini Espada:

Like I mentioned in the other recent thread about what  model I would like to see, Maserati Ghibli is one of my top choices. Such good looking car!

71_MaseratiGhibli.jpg

Of course Volvo P1800 (already mentioned) is another one of my wants.

Then I would also like to see Jaguar 420. There is old 1:32 scale kit, but a nice fully detailed 1:24 scale one would be really good.

How about DeTomaso Mangusta?

Or Iso Grifo

Iso-Grifo-Back-2.jpg

And more pedestrian car which will likely never be made as a 1:24 scale kit:  VW 1600TL fastback.  That was our 1st family car.

volkswagen-tl-1600-view-download-wallpaper-1600x1061-comments_b29b3.jpg?i

Also, any of the Rolls-Royces from the '50s or '60s.

I would commit a crime for a Mangusta model.

I'd just like some kits that already are in some warehouse in Italy.

Ferrari 275GTB

Ferrari 250SWB (the Italeri one not the ESCI)

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione.  Yes, I know it was released but how long ago?

Lotus Cortina

Let me add a vote for the Espada.

And since Aoshima has an interest in supercars: a Saleen S7 (road and track).

I see A lot of sports cars and other iconic marques.  I'll be more humble. A '70's era Opel Manta. I always thought they were  good looking cars.1ae66c19332508b129e1ee90f7aa725e.jpg.3121980eeb975d13d87bcdab6d9513a6.jpg

There was a resin kit by an outfit called SMP24.  They made 50 of them.  I managed to get one about a year ago.  Most money I have ever paid for a kit but it is very nice.

That was the one that came to my mind. It was a rough example but I loved the look of the one I owned back in 1991-92:

1971 Opel Manta A 1.9SR Rallye

One of the best-looking cars of the time (or ever), in my opinion.

An early Manta B would be nice too, with the chrome bumpers. I know Belkits do a rally version of the later Manta, but I'd love to see the mid-late 1970s model as a kit.

I could definitely go with your choices! I would also add a VW Type 181/Thing. As for Rolls Royces, I'd also ask for some Bentleys as well. Maybe even a Daimler or two.

If I could maybe submit one more suggestion............. There's a Fujimi kit of the e38 7 series Alpina I believe, but it's a curbside. Such a handsome and popular car, it deserves the full detail treatment! It wouldn't have to be from the tuner, either.........

This example is in Seal Gray, I believe............

A Meyers beach buggy from Tamiya, the Beatle is European and Tamiya already have that.

1970s Peugeots 404, 504, Break and pickup, big numbers worldwide.

And like drogd wrote regarding the 993, ”normal”, we are grown ups now.

A lot of good choices here! As a punk in the 80s and 90s while most of my friends were lusting after Camaros and Firebirds, I was wanting an XJ6 like the Equalizer or a Saab 900 Turbo, Audi or 190E like I saw in Car & Driver. When I enlisted in the Navy, the detailer asked me what my goals were expecting me to say an education or a chance to grow or something like that. Instead, my first comment was that I wanted to go to Europe and drive the Autobahn and see Italy. I managed those things, and my only regrets about it was that I didn't take a lot more pictures and that I didn't buy a car over there. There used to be a service where you could buy a Volvo, Saab, or BMW and it would be delivered to your base and then they would ship it back to the states to be waiting for you when you rotated back.

Looking through the wish lists on here has been interesting.

Some of the wishes are already available in 1/24th scale but mostly not in regular plastic.

Monogram did a Triumph TR7 hard top that could be converted to a rag top.

The wedge shaped Lagonda I believe someone has 3D printed a kit as a project but not sure if they planned on selling them as kits.

The Citroen SM is available in resin from a Ukranian company.

C1 Models and Motobitz both in the UK makes trans kits to convert the Revell Land Rover. C1 makes a lovely resin trans kit to make one of the Bowler special Land Rovers from the Spectre Bond film.

Jaguar XJ6 Saloon in white metal from UK company K&R Replicas.

MGA (and other MGs) from either South Eastern (ex Wills) Finecast and Autokits white metal kit ranges now being sold by Squires of Bognor Regis, Sussex UK.
