The results of spending too much time on eBay when I was on holiday last week have continued to arrive:

Lovely little thing, such delicate mouldings.

IMG_3042.JPG.08a43649f942f61246a744c185e1f076.JPG

I love the look of these things. Glad to get some decent-sized Rally wheels as well.

Thinking about an '80s Street Machine look for this one. The three wheel sets will be useful for other projects.

Cheap, I don't have too much interest in it beyond being an engine donor. Wheels might be alright if given some semi-flat clearcoat or painted a dark shade?

Answering my own question, this is the same basic kit as the Revell '69 Yenko I got the other day. Another cheap one, because.....

IMG_3046.JPG.c61d76dc894bc1bfe5ef8866bd7d3d94.JPG

Started, missing one or two pieces and for some reason the back window appears to have been painted with something very thick. It might donate some bits to the other one, then get built as an old dirt track racer or similar (perhaps even a Super Rod, as we had racing on the short ovals here back in the 1980s). The unpleasant Revell Europe box has already gone in the recycling bin.

Stopped by Hobby Lobby tonight to see if the Full bumper'70 Camaro finally went in stock. No dice but I did see an AMT 1964 Plymouth Belvedere kit. I was oh-so-close to picking it up tonight. But I resisted. I know... LOL!! Maybe in a couple weeks I'll look again.

My shipment from Jimmy Flintstone came in and, as always, he threw in a freebie!

I ordered a 41 Ford COE (with two grills) a Black Force Sedan Delivery and an Elvictamino body. He threw in a custom 29 Ford pickup.

Later-

Bought this one off eBay. '63 or '64 Nova. Complete with custom parts installed, except missing grille/headlights (I have the custom rear pan, just not shown here). Never painted except for the engine compartment. All emblems/trim/nameplates intact and sharp. Doesn't look like the windows have been "death glued" in.

63Nova07.jpg.d8d31036593e61745f9b72ad01cd0599.jpg

The one-piece chassis is charmingly simple:

The 6-banger is present and seems to be complete, including the custom 2- carb setup:

I know there are those here who would love to clean this one up and display it as the true survivor that it is, but it's not my style at all. I'll raid a Rat Packer for the stock grille and front and rear bumpers, scrape off the jive-time decals, and build it up as a late '60s-early '70s "high school hot rod." Still thinking about color.

The right fender skirt popped right off with virtually no damage underneath. The left one was a bigger problem, and there's some glue damage in the worst possible spot: right at the lower part of the curve at the front edge of the wheel opening. Looks fixable bit it will be tricky. Amazingly, it looks like I'll be able to save both rocker trim panels.

side trim is 62, if the 65 grille does not work let me know and I have a 63 grille if you need it

The Nova is a '62.  The '63 had side trim similar to the wagon, and had a V8 engine even though the 1:1 car wasn't available with one.  There was no '64 Nova kit, promo, or anything else in 1/25 scale.

Went on vacation this past week, stopped at a few HL stores and a hobby shop near St. Louis.

Picked up the Land Rover, some clearance kits, and a few supplies

Got a little bored this evening,  and found myself looking on eBay,  popped in a bid for this and luckily no one else put in a bid, so after moving to London last week,  I should have a stash down here when it's delivered in a few days, ok, one model really isn't a stash....

Thanks! I tried to research it and couldn't find that much. B)

Pier 1 is going out of business in Prescott.  Got another shelf unit (to the right), love being able to roll around.  Can't see the row behind what you see here.  Now I can buy more that I'll never build. ?

Went to the hobby lobby in my are and was very disappointed. No 4 door 67 Chevy, no Land Rover and no anything new. This store is a big disappointment I really wanted a Land Rover!

They always have those pyramid-shaped custom taillights, don't they? Let me know if you need the stock bezels; I've cast up a few sets. Just hit them with your Molotow pen BMF silver Sharpie, add a little piece of clear red for the lens, and done. The front wheelcovers are from the '61/'62 Buick Special wagon; good trading material if you can cut off the tire melt.

Yes, please! :D  Email me at SnakeACP45 at aol dot com and we can make arrangements. Do you need those Buick wheel covers? I can't imagine ever using them.

Thanks! B)

the Buick has a broken/ missing windshield frame.

Graft a Revellogram '59 Impala or '59 Caddy convertible windshield frame onto it.

That's the plan. Now to find a scrap body.
