Nothing remarkable about that, except there was a BUNCH of extras in there…the entire Revell kit plus half of an AMT ‘Vickie’ Deuce kit, an extra Replicas and Miniatures body with a hardtop and a couple of Duvall windshields: Some cheesy old photoetch (and some little bits of good stuff mixed in there too): Some Arrowhead Aluminum stuff (guess someone got lucky and actually received their order…): A bunch of tires, including some resin re-pops of what look like the Testor’s Alumacoupe ones: Plus these cool shift knobs, from a company I hadn’t heard of before: And, to cap it all off a complete Curbside Dioramics metal Deuce frame kit: Best eBay find I’ve had for a while! Holy cow! Did a rainbow and a leprechaun fly out, when you opened the box?! Nice! 1 1

A vendor had a huge Testors stock pile he was unloading. all old stuff. $10.00 for 6 cans of dullcote. Never seen so many little testor bottles in one spot. Real nice haul!

ZTony8 Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Between tending my table and judging the contest at the D.A.A.M. show I didn't get much of a chance to look around so I only bought an unbuilt Tamiya Lotus 72D kit, the Rat Fink issue of the International 4070 truck, 2 jars of MCW paint and traded a '67 G.T.O. kit to a fellow club member for two of his built-ups. That's not nearly what I usually score.

Curious if my local store will get some new kits too… With the exception of the ‘41 Plymouth (and Coke tractor and trailer?) this is an entirely new selection. This Walmart ( the smallest in Ia.) had not offered models in the last 15+ years until last fall. They had put what hadn’t sold on clearance about a month ago (maybe 20 kits) and I figured they wouldn’t get any more until next Christmas if at all. That was until my gf came back from shopping with 4 kits and pictures of the store 4X4 display pallet. I ran right up bought 7 more and 2 display cases. May have to go back back and get more! Now if they’d only offer a real selection of model paint and accessories … Edited March 30, 2022 by #1 model citizen 1
NOBLNG Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 It was a good day! I went to my LHS for some sanding sticks and photo etch saws.?While there I picked up a couple of paints and the Revell ‘30 Model A.? When I got home my first issue of MCM was in the mailbox and also my replacement windshield for the Revell ‘29 Model A.??? 4
bluestringer Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Made a trip to the big city Walmart today and was surprised they had a little display of kits. Picked up this one. They had a few others I would have liked, but the SS check was getting thin. 3

HomerS Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Not much at the toy show...presume the vendors went to the Detroit show. Didn't "need" the Splash but $20 sealed and it hasn't been reissued 'cuda is open/complete 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 1/24 scale Italeri Ferrari 275 GTB; kinda hard to come by over here these days, and one of my favorite iterations of the marque. Hiding behind it is an Italeri 365 Daytona race car, also kinda hard to get stateside. 5
ChrisBcritter Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) Lucky son-of-a-gun! I'd still like to get one to recreate the car from that Love Hate Love TV movie. Edited March 31, 2022 by ChrisBcritter 1
