Yep, your model turned out real nice. I built the red version many years ago and I seem to remember it was no picnic. Thanks for sharing. -
Good point. What I find so often is that I've already built models that are being reissued so I just sigh and move on.

Lost my little buddy this morning

I feel for you. Been there recently with 2 dogs. A cat as a companion as you described would be just as bad. -
Fasted today for my annual blood letting before my annual checkup in a couple of weeks. The medical center I go to every year moved the lab to another building so I walked over there and waited for it to open at 7:30. No nice waiting room as before and once they unlocked the door I found out I'm not in their system and there's no lab request. Apparently this place is a private company operating within the "system" but doesn't have the previous records. I needed to call my doctor who is in the same "system" and have him send a request. Never had to do this for the past 20 years. Would've been good to know before my whole fasting plan. So I call my doctor and the girl kept saying she couldn't find me on her computer. Again, been going to this guy for 20 years or more. On hold a couple of times and finally she said she'd put in the request. Doesn't ask me where I need it sent to. So I go to the My Chart website and send a message directly to the care team and give them all the info which should get a result. They've been reliable in the past. btw, I know my heart is good because it's been beating awfully hard all morning with all the stress I've gone through.

So often people live in their own little world and don't think about what they do may have an effect on others.

Some of those HO scale buildings look like they'd be a fun project but sure are expensive. Since you said you already had some I can see you might as well build them. I look forward to seeing your progress.

My wife talks about a 3rd dog every once in awhile when she looks at the rescue pictures but then decides against it. I think it could be fun but my main concern is trying to walk 3 dogs. The 2 I have now are a handful on a walk so don't think it would work. Perhaps a separate walk would work like I used to do with our old Westie in her last months. But, it might never happen.

The above answers are true. For me, most of my models are kept simple so I just sand all the mold lines off, then wash the body, and I'm most likely spraying Testors or Tamiya paint from the can and it lays on the bare plastic just fine. So you can take all the suggestions you get and use them according to your building preference.

Great pictures and great work! -
Excellent! A joy to look at. You don't need any tips because this was done so well. A great subject too with the dirt bike.

I forgot how great this car looked and your model looks great too. The decals look fine to me but I can see they must've been a real challenge. -

Any “diet” pop (soda) worth trying out there?
TonyK replied to Monty's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Funny thing about soda pop. A few years ago the wife and I realized we weren't drinking much of it anymore. We only drank it when we felt like it anyway but we just quit. Now we might have 1 in a month. We're both huge water drinkers with our meals so that always helps. -
Everyone has made good points as to why the model companies don't make 4 doors and I understand where they are coming from. I've been frustrated in the past that so many 2 door models are the SS versions or the souped up version. So often I just wanted the family car type but again it's not fancy enough and might not sell as well.

Any “diet” pop (soda) worth trying out there?
TonyK replied to Monty's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I never liked diet pop. It was real Coca Cola all my life but after I got diabetes many years ago I had to switch and Coke Zero is a step above any diet drinks. It might just be me but that is my favorite as it doesn't taste like other diet drinks. We all have different tastes so you're just gonna have to try them all. -
AMT Mustang II Hell Drivers Thrill show car
TonyK replied to gasman's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Is this just gonna be a passenger car with a decal sheet? I would think the real car would at least have a roll bar in it and maybe some other things I can't think of without some research.
