Looks great. Love the night time pics. Good thing it's relatively small for an airliner. I have a Rodan 1/144 720 which is basically the same plane but slightly shorter and it's dwarfed by some of the more modern 1/144 airliners , not to mention a 747. ?

No, you don't have to. You can use any color you like under them and get different effects. I used metallic pink as a base on the red truck and metallic light blue base on the blue one. Using a light metallic of the same color under the candy makes it easier to get even coverage without light and dark blotches or streaks. You can also use different colors as a base and get different colors in the end. Say, if you used a metallic red as a base for a candy blue you'd end up with a purple or a metallic blue under a candy yellow would give you a green. see what I mean?

A lot of people around the world think it's cold all the time in Canada too and we live in igloos and go to work by dog sled.? I mean to the truck for sale in the link Gregg. The one in the pics has a grey dash and the one for sale has a black dash plus other differences. I'm not saying it's not a legitimate truck, just not as the trucks on the show were set up. Possibly, it war over-restored or maybe it was one the production company had built for promotional purposes ,, taken around to car shows and whatnot.

That may be an original, but it sure isn't how the van looked on the show. Lots of little differences when compared to screen grabs from the actual show.

John, I don't think it's all that bad. Just let it gas out for a couple days, wet sand it with finishing paper ,, maybe 4000 or 6000 grit to carefully get rid of most of the bubbles and shoot another coat or two of clear. I think you can save that paint, no problem. ?

Anyway, here's a shot I took for some reason of the sheet I have. Shows both the safari and spoof parts so they were both in the same kit at one point. I might take a look for that sheet sometime next week. Looks like al those extra parts were running changes and not unique to each year.

I got this builtup years ago in a box of other built kits. The lot also came with a bunch of instruction sheets. The only Jeepster sheet in the lot was the one for the Safari version so I'd assume that came in it. I haven't looked at the sheet in years but I'm pretty sure it shows the long roof assembly.

Had to make a new tray for the battery on my 1/1 so I knew the difference. I doubt most would notice the difference.

Only if your equipment sucks. I still have most of the tapes I bought over the years, including my original copy of "Autoamerican" which plays and sounds as good now as it did 40 years ago. I paid almost as much for the deck in my T/A as I did for the car. It's a newer factory Pontiac 5 band EQ deck that's been rebuilt and modified to work in my '85 , which no one really thinks that much of as "high end" but what most people don't know is it's all Blaupunkt guts in them. They sound great if they're kept up and the head's properly adjusted and kept clean. And, yes, I can play my phone and MP3 player through it too. But, I do have a 12 disk Pioneer changer sitting in the basement, brand new, still in it's box, to put in the car sooner or later just to keep my options open. ? But I do find that a lot of disks are victims of "The Loudness Wars". [google it !!] BTW, any of you guys ever hear of "Discogs"
