  1. ?..... ? .... ? That's darned impressive! I've done some soldering for copper plumbing and stained glass, but this is another game.
  2. You're another builder who makes me sick. ? Beautiful work, the carbon decal work is very nice. Love the trailer too.
  3. Added LED tape light to the paint booth. I was hoping to use in a display cabinet, but didn't work out due to one less connector needed. So I did this. All the way bright: Lowest setting:
  4. Well...... can I have this topic deleted? This is getting stupid embarrassing. ?
  5. All of them are sweet, the first one is a different and beautiful color.
  6. Congrats on getting so many done! I know what you mean, just can't build Box Stock. ?
  7. You know how to paint! I like the Lamborghini.
  8. I like your taste, the BMW M1 is rare to see built by anyone. Snake's topic has been a hit I see.
  9. You've been busy! Great variety, all a movie theme is interesting. I like 2001 Space Odyssey, wood be a good slump buster.
  10. Never thought I would get excited about getting a: a) Ford b) Model A c) hot rod d) Revell e) from Hobby Lobby f) all of the above When I found out the GSL Common Kit is this kit, didn't see it at Hobby Lobby several times, made a special trip today and ta-da! 40% off to boot! ?‍♂️
  11. [revision] January 22, 2023 I have resumed after ditching the Bungalow theme, the chassis work is still good to go, but going to build a normal hot rod using the kit body. I have 17 months to build this project. ? Never thought I would get excited to get a Ford model ?, when I found out the Model A Roadster was the subject, started looking at Hobby Lobby and there weren't any on the shelf. Today I lucked out, with the 40% off! The GSL International Scale Vehicle Championship and Convention will be (think positive) May 5-8, 2022. The Common Kit category features something that should be found anywhere, that isn't a collectible, from their Facebook page: Home from the store: I have wanted to do a Russell Stover candy truck for a long time. In an issue of Fine Homebuilding magazine, there was a picture that caught my attention. The picture shows a Model A, but they also used a Dodge truck, which had a different roof design, and only the windshield was used. In this case, I need to find someone who will part with a pickup cab if there is such a thing. I won't post reference pictures directly to respect Copyright (in other words not violate more than I already have). I also do woodworking, so look forward to doing the Bungalow. I was originally planning to use this Revell Woodstock kit, which has the fenders, hood and front bumper. Looking at the frames, it appears these do not share any components, whoever has built these please confirm. I could try to duplicate the one in the photos, but the hubcaps and perhaps the wheels are not like the kit's. I'm digging the Halibrand wheels and tires, so if I stick with the engine, don't need the hood. I have 17 months to decide on what to do, just wanted to start my WIP now to incentivize myself.
  12. Oh well, appreciate it! Ok, so this is what it looked like after the brake fluid bath. Repaired the putty spots, wet-sanded, primed, then sprayed this Splash Paints that was intended for a Huracan. I need to wet-sand this next, then do another coat. I wasn't planning on a contest winner anyway, just wanted this weird Lambo on the shelf.
  13. Well thank you kind sir! This is probably the main reason I post so much, to inspire and help others. I've learned a few things too, and found new ways to blow $$ too. Thank you David! With so many active members, it's understandable that some builds are overlooked. Thanks!
  14. I should adopt this. ? I made my 2021 Resolution, but nothing says I have to stick to it. I have about 20 other future projects not listed. Then the random 'I have to do this one just because' which will not be announced.
  15. Nice selection of race cars. I favor the Ferrari, never heard of Jouef, is that a 1/43 resin kit?
  16. I like the yellow International, but the log hauler is nice too (and it doesn't take up so much space with the trailer).
  17. All 3 3/4 (that's the 'Merican version) look great! The Scarab, I had the IMC kit which I sold in Phoenix, sort of regret it, but have too many kits anyway. What are the gauges? Happy New Year!
  18. That is about one a month, not bad. They all look great!
  19. Thanks for the email. I am in correspondence with Taponi, he responded quickly, will order the 330 GTC. I asked for pictures of the BMW 2000 GT and Dodge pickup, but will avoid the BMW. The Dodge looked okay in the one picture. He explained to keep shipping cost down, he mails a package of several orders to a distributor in the US, so it will take awhile.
  20. Well? We're waiting! ? I found a source for this transkit, so will have to remember to come back for instructions.
  21. Congratulations on finishing before the end of the year! This is making me want to get into Jeeps now. ?
