  1. Hi Jim, another great build. What a huge improvement on the interior, you make it look easy! The colour choices all round are perfect. As for the fin colour, maybe white with some pearl to match the dash etc? Regardless of what you choose, it will look great. Cheers, Steve
  2. You had me at “pro street”. Any more progress on this one Bill?
  3. Wow, that is looking fantastic Dennis. Stance is killer! Can’t wait to see some colour on that beauty. Cheers, Steve
  4. Nice work here Josh. Great colour choice, wheels look fantastic. I have been thinking about buying one of these kits, you’ve convinced me to go for it.
  5. Hi Steve, this is a beauty! I agree with Roger and many others about the colour, stance, wheel/tire combo being perfect. Very nicely done, I need to go back and re-read the WIP thread... Cheers, Steve
  6. Francis, I have great news!! My lovely wife is the director of two seniors facilities here on the island. When the time comes, which I’m sure is quite some time away, look us up. so.... my files are not faulty??... They just don’t seem to work as good as yours. Hmmmmm Keep the magic coming Francis
  7. Oh man... that gave me a really good laugh! I was thinking the exact same thing, in fact, I might return mine and see if I get a set that work like Francis!! Francis, we are all running out of superlatives to describe your build sir. It really is quite amazing seeing it all come together. I do hope that I have the opportunity to meet you in person one day and see this work of art.
  8. Very cool “should have been” build Chuck. Excellent execution sir.
  9. Beautiful build Tim. I wish one of the manufacturers would produce these with modern tooling. I do have one waiting to be built. Love your colour choice.
  10. Stunning build Scott. I will go back and have another detailed look. It had to be pink! Perfect ? Cheers, Steve
  11. Hi Roger, beautiful work as always sir. Thanks for sharing the tutorial on hinges. Cheers, Steve
  12. Amazing work Steve! Your builds and techniques are extremely inspiring sir. Love the videos. As for the 8 tracks... Pink Floyd for sure, maybe The Cars first album? Cheers, Steve
  13. Looking awesome Dennis. Nice interior upgrades! Is she in paint yet?
  14. Hi Bob, this is coming along really nice! Haven’t checked in for a while. BMF isn’t for the faint of heart, yours looks great. Thin strips of foil work well for rad hose clamps, I haven’t tried the thicker foil, but I have some in my shop so I’m going to give that a try. This is a great forum, full of great ideas and sharing.
  15. Sounds perfect!
  16. Hi Mike, my dad bought a ‘62 Impala new in that colour. Tamiya has a light metallic blue that is very close to the factory colour. I did a replica of my dad’s car a few years back, it’s in the under glass section from a while back. Regardless of what colour you go with I know I will like it, I’m very partial to those beauties. Cheers, Steve
  17. Hi Snake, looking forward to seeing this progress. Not familiar with the arctic blue, but you can’t go wrong with any metallic blue in my opinion. Love the old Cutlass’s
  18. Hi Roger, colour is metallic red with flat clear. I believe it was dupli colour paint. It was a tough choice to put flat over a beautiful shiny metallic red, but my test spoon showed me it was going to look good. Very glad I trusted the spoon, the truck gets lots of comments on the paint.
  19. Hi Tim, I’m pretty sure I remember that brown one from an SAE issue back in the day, am I right? It was cool back then, and still looks pretty sweet! Cheers, Steve
  20. Beautiful work as always Roger. That colour really pops in the sun! Love the silver with black trim, and red interior really sets it off. Nice vision, and excellent execution. Cheers, Steve
  21. Hi Pat, awesome build with a killer stance. I really like the colour combo. Cheers, Steve
  22. Hi Ray, great looking truck. The colour is actually quite unique, and in my opinion really cool. Like Roger said, it’s a finicky colour that requires white base. It reminds me of a build I did years ago, I used pearl clear over primer grey, I liked it. Cheers, Steve
  23. Amazing work Greg, it’s coming together. Steve
  24. Hi Bob, I like the reference photos. Black trim with grey looks cool, or maybe a few coats of smoke on the chrome... I haven’t built the kit from the box. I have used portions of the chassis on one build, the body went a low detail resin chassis as a slammer build. It’s an older kit that will likely require some extra cleanup, but they are great looking cars. Cheers, Steve
