Hi Jim, another great build. What a huge improvement on the interior, you make it look easy! The colour choices all round are perfect. As for the fin colour, maybe white with some pearl to match the dash etc? Regardless of what you choose, it will look great. Cheers, Steve

Oh man... that gave me a really good laugh! I was thinking the exact same thing, in fact, I might return mine and see if I get a set that work like Francis!! Francis, we are all running out of superlatives to describe your build sir. It really is quite amazing seeing it all come together. I do hope that I have the opportunity to meet you in person one day and see this work of art. -

Very cool “should have been” build Chuck. Excellent execution sir. -
Beautiful build Tim. I wish one of the manufacturers would produce these with modern tooling. I do have one waiting to be built. Love your colour choice.

Stunning build Scott. I will go back and have another detailed look. It had to be pink! Perfect ? Cheers, Steve -

Hi Bob, this is coming along really nice! Haven’t checked in for a while. BMF isn’t for the faint of heart, yours looks great. Thin strips of foil work well for rad hose clamps, I haven’t tried the thicker foil, but I have some in my shop so I’m going to give that a try. This is a great forum, full of great ideas and sharing.

Sounds perfect!

Hi Mike, my dad bought a ‘62 Impala new in that colour. Tamiya has a light metallic blue that is very close to the factory colour. I did a replica of my dad’s car a few years back, it’s in the under glass section from a while back. Regardless of what colour you go with I know I will like it, I’m very partial to those beauties. Cheers, Steve

Hi Snake, looking forward to seeing this progress. Not familiar with the arctic blue, but you can’t go wrong with any metallic blue in my opinion. Love the old Cutlass’s

Beautiful work as always Roger. That colour really pops in the sun! Love the silver with black trim, and red interior really sets it off. Nice vision, and excellent execution. Cheers, Steve

Hi Ray, great looking truck. The colour is actually quite unique, and in my opinion really cool. Like Roger said, it’s a finicky colour that requires white base. It reminds me of a build I did years ago, I used pearl clear over primer grey, I liked it. Cheers, Steve -

Amazing work Greg, it’s coming together. Steve -
Hi Bob, I like the reference photos. Black trim with grey looks cool, or maybe a few coats of smoke on the chrome... I haven’t built the kit from the box. I have used portions of the chassis on one build, the body went a low detail resin chassis as a slammer build. It’s an older kit that will likely require some extra cleanup, but they are great looking cars. Cheers, Steve
