That's one great looking Gasser! The engine is almost half as big as the whole car! ? David G.

The hood scoop is a good call, it works well. Since you asked.. The paint looks great but it seems to me that there is too much of it. It needs something else for contrast, especially if you're going for a Seventies build. "Euro White" and other monochromatic themes were more of a Nineties thing. The Seventies trends were much more bold, to the point of being garish even. Think of the Mopar High Impact paint colors. So maybe some bold graphics or a stark black and white interior with a black vinyl top. Of course you could go with a full-on Nineties custom Euro White style. The tires you're using would lend themselves well to that. But whatever you decide, make it yours and enjoy the build! You have a great start and a gorgeous looking paint job to work with. David G.

Hello Everybody! I did manage to find a suitable fan in the ol' parts box. I did have to clean it up and paint it but at least I don't have to scratch build one. To mount the fan I started by making a back plate for the base of the roof carrier. I then measured and eyeballed the center of the hole onto the base plate below. I then drilled a hole on the mark to accommodate a 1mm styrene rod on which I could mount the fan. It did require a bit of fiddling with the baseplate to get the fan properly centered but I'm rather pleased with the results. Now I need to come up with the motor and its mounting struts. I also painted the frame of the carrier along with a number of the other equipment pieces, which will be seen as the build progresses. Thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to post your comments. David G.

It's nice to see this one finished. I remember the paint issues you had, the repaint came out exceedingly well. David G. -

Great color choice! Nice paintwork on the trim too. It's a shame about the BMF, I have a couple of sheets that I ordered earlier this year. I hope I get lucky with them but I fear that I won't. David G.

Both are excellent examples but the black and white one is particularly striking. David G.

Hello Everybody! Just a quick update on the Super Trebuchet. Wheels Down! The directions called for the wheels to be glued directly to the axles. Unfortunately, there was too much space between the wheels and axle shafts for any type of adhesive to bond properly so I secured the wheels in a more prototypical fashion. With linchpins! I drilled the axle shafts (5/64" I think) then trimmed wooden toothpicks to an appropriate length and inserted them. And since they're held in place by friction, there's no need for glue! I think this looks better too. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to offer any comments or suggestions. David G.

I'm not familiar with that part Russel but I did find a suitable looking fan in the ole parts box. Are you working on an Ecto-1 too? If so, do you have any pics posted? I'm glad somebody got the joke! Thanks for your kind comment Steve, I appreciate it. David G.
