  1. Very cool! Every part looks like it belongs there!
  2. It goes like this.. eBay was founded as a collector to collector trading medium. The founder wrote the original software so his girlfriend could trade Pez dispensers. I had a decent business going selling old car brochures. Of course it was a hobby effort. I packed everything paid for that week every Friday evening and mailed it all out on Saturday morning, sometimes 50 pieces. If your payment came in the Saturday mail, it waited a week. Plain and simple and even outlined in my auction text and win email. Nobody needed a car brochure instantly. Soon enough it expanded into general markets and started chasing Amazon’s tail. That’s when they put Amazon shipping time edicts on all sellers. I wasn’t equipped to ship every day, so for this and other reasons I dropped out. One of my bad experiences was when my brother in law gave me a box of new computer stuff. I listed some hard drives, laptop batteries etc. They sold at the minimum bid since that market was saturated. I shipped one the very next morning from receiving payment.. got bad feedback for slow shipping! I’d had enough.
  3. My point! Perfect hobby boxes! Here’s my project shelf.. you can see both size boxes here. photo turned sideways.. clear lid let’s you see what’s in it.
  4. I can guarantee they will only because I just found my MCW resin one!
  5. I was on NJ Turnpike on Saturday and saw convoys of bucket trucks headed north. On my way to NJ I saw a few long convoys, and later going home to PA I saw more, so you can only imagine how many trucks went north!
  6. I use these Swiffer boxes for parts boxes and keeping in progress projects. There are two different box depths, depending on how many pads are in the box you buy. The perfect size to keep a model, plastic with a clear lid. And stackable! I post this because every time I do someone says their wife uses these and tosses the box!
  7. I’d save the black and respray the white. As others said, make sure you’ve cleaned out the wax. Remove it with soap etc before sanding as you just don’t want to embed it into the surface by sanding it. I wouldn’t have waxed or cleared it.. police cars aren’t that shiny!
  8. Straight from the USPS website.. once the magazine is placed in their hands, just wait and pray! This class of mail along with sales flyers etc just sit in bins at your local post office. Once the carriers have sorted their daily mail, if they have time, they grab some of this. My experience is that they get to it on Saturday. We seem to get flyers, junk mail and magazines then. See here, there is no deadline!
  9. I went digging and pulled out mine. I had never even unwrapped it when I bought it. Darn! My rear bumper looks just like yours.. too wide! The pity is that is so nicely chromed! I will bet that it’s the same fit on the original annual. The only way I can figure to fix it would be to separate it into three pieces, right at the seams of the end caps. Remove a bit of material from either end of the center piece. Thanks about the avatar.. when I see something interesting I just use it!
  10. Looks great! Color scheme is very typical of the era.
  11. That's the Premier Falcon... great replica except it's too tall, too short and too wide! A carature at best! It will be interesting to see what you do with it.
  12. Very nice! I like the extra touches!
  13. Isn’t that a Modelhaus kit? Didn’t it come with a rear bumper?
  14. Looks great!
  15. You done good! One of my favorite kits. I did the same thing with the mirrors! Just give the hood emblems a whack of silver and call it done!
  16. Yesterday I was fed a good lunch by my two year old twin granddaughters! The sandwich had an egg, cheese and lettuce on it. I laugh that they gave me a pepper. I asked what it was and they indeed said "pepper". Smart little buggers!
  17. Declan- let us know what kit that is and somebody may have a spare body to send to you..
  18. Lego was all but dead many years ago. A new CEO came in who restored the brand and made it exciting. There are books about it. Maybe something model companies can read and employ
