Beautiful looking factory fresh. Very cleanly detailed.

Great looking finish on the body., very realistic looking. I also was a fan of the JDM Legends TV program and wish that it would return. I liked seeing how the people interacted with one another with respect no made up drama. Your build really captures the look of their shop truck. Put this in the center of your display shelfs with all the shinny builds around it and wait and see what draws everyone attention first.

Great looking finishes and the color was very popular for the '55's. We had a neighbor who bought a new '55 Bel Air 4 door with this color and a Gray roof and trunk lid area. I like your idea of the cokes in the back.

Beautiful looking finishes. Not familiar with the 1:1 car but think it looks very stately for the time period.

Since you are thinking of building this as a stock Nova SS remember the optional 327 cu in 350 hp engine option. With a 4 speed these were a real terror on the street way back when.

Great looking interior.

Interesting prospective of a slice of life in 1957. Something else that I noticed when information about the load of cars on the transporter being worth up to $20,000.00. That's not even the average price of a car today. The driver is proud, and should be for the time, that he earns $8,000.00 per year. That was some pretty good money in 1957. Anyone care to figure out what that would be in todays dollars ?

What's the Difference Between These Two Clears
espo replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The can on the left is their "Ultra Gloss" clear and the one on the right is their regular clear. Some swear by them and others don't care for them. Your personal experience my vary. -
Beautiful looking E type. So many details and all done so cleanly. Great looking paint finish.
-
Good color combinatio. I like your jig for setting up your tires.

Great looking paint jobs.

I like the understated color and the finish looks great. Very nice interior and well detailed engine.

Looks great. When I first saw what you had to work with I admit thinking is it worth it to do. Now seeing this all redone it was time well spent. The original builder did a really nice paint job and aligning all of the holes couldn't have been easy.

Corvair and a Hot Rod of a car that I’ll ever do. 1950 Ford.
espo replied to ewetwo's topic in Model Cars
The stock looking Corvair looks great. The '50 Convertible hits an accord for me having owned a couple '51's two doors many years ago. Nice looking paint and interior. -
*1950 3100 Chevy Pickup*
espo replied to Zippi's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The tire diameter issue with the rubber band tires can leave you with an overall diameter that is less than the stock wheels and tires. I have seen some of the tires from earlier Corvette kits that had stock 50 series tires that either fit or can be made to fit these wheels. They will offer a taller sidewall on the tire and the tread surface is usually as wide as the wheel. If you have any of these Corvette kits or their tires in your stash that maybe an option to try. -
Makes you wish that Modelhaus was still in business, their kits were always among the best. Snake 45's comment on the center door pillar is correct for a stock build and that is something you may want to correct or not. You're mentioning a somewhat modified build anyway and this pillar may work perfectly with what your vision for this is, or even a hardtop body style with no pillar at all. What ever you do keep us posted.

Beautiful looking paint finish. Great job on the body mods to replicate the original car.
-
Great looking body mods on these and the paint work is super smooth also. The different colors used on the chassis and engine offer a nice contrast to the body colors.
-
Beautiful looking finishes. All the trim is cleanly done.
-
Great looking paint finish and color. Sharp clean looking detailing on this as well.

I do remember some of the things from a styling standpoint that came about when Me. Knudsen went too Ford along with one of his head designers. I don't remember the gentleman's name but my understanding is that he was responsible for much of the styling and in particular the rear window louvers for the Boss Mustangs. As for making a model of Fooses's build or replication any of the Boss Mustangs or CJ cars should be an interesting project for a model.

Looking at the charts you have provided, and thankyou for that, Shows why I miss my old '10 Charger RT with the 5.7 and AWD. .

Car ID? (Daisy's car)
espo replied to Andrew D the Jolly Roger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm not as knowledgeable of Plymouth models as some here, but it looks like a Satellite with some paint or tape stripes added not to mention the added rear shackles and wheels and tires.
