VanSpence
I really love the look of this car but thought the convertible was even better. I have been holding onto this kit for a while, thinking about how I wanted to build it and then I just figured, go with it, make it the convertible. I cut off the roof and got to it. Here is end results. I am actually really happy with it and it is a shame Toyota never did this officially as it really is stunning in convertible form. If you want to see exactly how I did the work, full build video is on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/H_wrSMZUYco Thanks for taking a look. Bugatti Fan
Lovely model. The lines look slightly E Typeish from the side view.
Pete J.
Beautiful job! A small back story. The reason they made a convertible for the movie is that Sean Connery was too tall to fit in the coupe.😆

Now that Aoshima is doing a fully new tooling, I am going to have to get that one and build a red one. Just kinda love the car. 11 hours ago, grodudulle77 said: Nice look !! 👍 Thank you. 9 hours ago, Bugatti Fan said: Lovely model. The lines look slightly E Typeish from the side view. Yes, I thought this as well, very E type, which as always been one of my favorite convertibles. That or the D type. Drool! 8 hours ago, Pete J. said: Beautiful job! A small back story. Dave B
Nice conversion Spence, the convertible is very attractive and I really should by a coupe and convert it, it would go with my existing coupe nicely. Mr. Metallic
Nicely done. As a big JB fan I've wanted to get my hands on the MPC kit for awhile. However, starting with the Hasegawa kit may be a better option detail and availability wise. Your excellent conversion work proves that it can be done.
