Limeyglue Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 My friend kindly gave me this as a present. It wasn't complete and he challenged me to build it using the custom parts in the box. The first thing I did was remove all the emblems and fill the vent doors in the wings then the gas filler door and shave the door handles. I have also added the peaked headlights. I used the kit rolled front pan which took quite a bit of time to get the shape right and to get the insert to fit. I'm now on with the rolled rear pan but I'm having to modify the kit part instead of just scratching one. Thanks for looking Lee 2
EngineerBob Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 So far so good! Looking forward to seeing how this custom bird turns out. I'm building the same 57 Tbird but as a land speed racer.
TarheelRick Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Really love these older custom/stylized kits. Would like to see some of them rereleased. Looking forward to where you are going with this one.
Painted Black Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Yeah I'm watching this one. Like that front grille treatment.
Zippi Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Nice. That body is looking slick as a cats ass. 1
Limeyglue Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 Thanks guys. Quite enjoying building this
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Very clean custom work. Looks great. Hows about a bubble top? 1
Pat Minarick Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Very cool.. Wish I had an older issue of this. On the newer issues the wheel openings are off from side to side.

Limeyglue Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 Done a bit more. Got the rear pan in and the first coat of primer. I have a few areas to sort as a few areas have ghosted through. Also got the wheels on,they are from the AMT 50 Ford convertible. Thanks for looking Lee
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Very nice old school custom project, I really like the front and rear treatment! Did you choose a colour already? I'd really like to see some candy here! 1
