Now I'm thinking of doing a Cobra II instead of the snap kit Charger. The Cobra II spoilers and louvers will be painted separate.

Very creative and well done. ROTFL at the rag for a gas cap.

Another 79/80 era with the TRX wheels/tires. No Cobra decal on the hood but the rest looks like the right paint scheme.

At least they are not bringing back Palmer kits. With any of these older reissues I expect an old kit in a new box with new decals and better tires and fresh chrome. No more no less.

68 Shelby GT500. Timeless kit that is not perfect and has not changed over the decades. I've built a few including two convertible conversions. It looks good in black. Some red stripes along the sides would look pretty cool. I usually bend the ends of the front bumper down as they tend to curve up.

Technically not a 84-86 SVO but a late 70's or early 80's turbo four hatchback. The SVO had 16 inch wheels and at the time about the same hp as the 302 GT. They were not a big seller but where ahead of their time. Your build is very nice and ou did a great job.

If it is the same interior as the 66 coupe it would save time to use one without layers of paint. There ins't much difference between a 65 and 66 other than the dash and grille.

Here's the reissue I built about 10 years ago. It's the only non car model I have built. Yours looks great and would be more what an actual creature might look like. I was going more for the guy in a rubber suit look. It's interesting the suit was green but since the movies were black and white I do not think they worried much about how authentic it looked. Everyone one of these I see has different shades of green which is great to see.

Pretty sexy and we might see a diecast made but I doubt there will ever be a model kit. -

Looking very nice Cobraman. I like the bumperless look.

Great job on improving a curbside kit.

Are those decals or hand painted?

Pretty much do the same thing. My pet peeve is generic descriptions like "looking for a decal." Would save us all time if the item wanted was in the subject line.

Ebay score for $50 PLUS for the MK II plus an unbuilt 289 AMTand 427 Cobra Monogram. No one else bid. The Mark II box is in almost mint condition.

Traveling for a show?
vamach1 replied to Jared Roach's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That is one sweet Camaro. I think as long as it's in a white or light brown box with bubble wrap or soft towels the temp inside the box should not be excessive. Crack the windows and put the box on the floor out of direct sunlight and it should be fine for at least an hour unless it is over 100 degrees outside. Good luck at the show - I'd vote for your car even though it's not a Mustang. -
Sadly they do not sell them anymore. Very nice work on yours. I have one I painted but that's as far as I got.

That would be the other one - same as what was in the 69 Mustang kit and probably most other mid side and large Ford kits of that era. Sadly MPC and AMT never made a true 429 for the 71 Mustang and included either the 428 or Boss 429 neither of which was correct. So, use what engine is correct for that year which would be either the 302 Boss (Eliminator) 351W or the 390/428. I would not worry much which kit it comes out - they are all similar.
