  1. Hey, that interior is looking nice, and your patience with the foil is really paying off. My only critique would be the shine of the "carpet", do you plan on flattening that?
  2. Very nice, clean build, and a very attractive color combo. Well done!
  3. Dig it! I like the red and black, and I'm betting that metallic black looks even better in person. Don't you love how some metallic effects disappear in photos, but invisible dust will look like cotton balls?! Wicked rake really looks like a proper street machine. Well done.
  4. Nice job! Love the old stockers; real racing!
  5. Nice work; outstanding period-perfect paint work as well. Well done!
  6. Sounds about right. My dad once had a 4-door hardtop 62 with a 327, and years later I got a 63 Biscayne with a 283-2 barrel-Powerglide combo, and he was surprised at how economical it was for me compared to his old car, but it wasn't a powerhouse by any means. I miss that car (my first that actually ran).
  7. I was happy to score a couple of 1/72 Heinkel He-115 kits (Matchbox and Revell - same kit) at a decent price. Now, to find a good deal on that 1/48 Special Hobby version...
  8. Nice job; Chevelles always look good in blue! Well done.
  9. That came out very nice. I really like the interior colors with your choice of exterior color; makes for a sharp '57! Well done.
  10. Cool old-school custom, but I'd love to see it with a forward rake as opposed to the raised front. Seems a contradiction visually to sectin and streamline the front sheet metal only to raise it into the wind. I think dropping the front might make the grille look less overpowering; the change in the viewer's angle of sight would downplay it. Just my 2 pennies worth; over all I really like it as it reminds me of the stuff from customizing's early days, when the magazines were "little pages" format. Color is refreshing! Well done
  11. Nice touch!
  12. Nice; realistic paint finishes give a sense of weight and heft, really brings the model alive. Well done.
  13. Nice build and very informative write-up. The car looks great in those colors!
  14. Agreed! If you gotta use sponsorship, let's have it automotive (related) based! I'd rather have these decals in my stash than a bunch of Coke logos.
  15. Very striking color combo, and that blue has a SERIOUS old-style Metalflake vibe that is too cool! Nice.

Beautiful job! it looks SOOOOOO good in red. Very nice.
  17. Man, that's a shame! Those are some very crisp looking moldings and should build up to a very nice display piece. You should post a request in the "Wanted" forum section. Best of luck to you on your search for new rims.
  18. Well done! Very sharp.
  19. Correct place for the 2 door SS ( original AMT tooling), but apparently not worth the cost to change the engraving for this release. Looks like you'll be able to handle it! Looking good so far. Here's a nice reference pic of trunk opening shape...
  20. Another informative and fun thread on a subject I'm guessing 99% of us have in our stash. Thanks for restoring this one; it's new to me!
  21. Stunningly attractive build of a truly beautiful bike. VERY well done!
  22. Been thinking about this material, and I think I would use it only as a temporary base; for photographing and such. I would be concerned about such an asphalt-based material having adverse effects on vinyl (or plastic) tires.
