  1. Based on the information from Stitchdup you might want to consider something in the Desert Storm color palette since it seems to have a military back ground.
  2. That's when you know you just have to much money. I've never had enough money.
  3. When we were at Costco last night they have only one opening to the outside and they have stacked pallets to create a Q for getting into the store area. Not a bad idea. They're also listing the paper products that they don't have in stock, another good idea. Everyone was good about the social distancing thing.
  4. I like what you did with that engine cover beyond the magnets.
  5. This begs the question, Is Round 2 making or paying for Monopoly or Coke product placement in these kits ? I would love to hear his verbal opinion on this.
  6. I like the Hot Rod 6 idea.
  7. No idea what color it is, but I want one. I think it might be a light shade of gray or silver, I don't think it would be white.
  8. It wasn't so long ago that they were condemning the blower dryers in restrooms. The premise was that the blowers blow the contaminants in the air all over your hands after you have washed them.

    Jobs

Made a Costco run last night. There was as many employees as customers and if you did see another shopper everyone was avoiding each other like the plague, pun intended. Amazing assortment of masks including a few that looked like a couple of stage robbers from an old time western movie. Somehow they misplaced a couple of pallets of Scotts TP and everyone was trying to grab one and still be at least 6 ft away from everyone else, hard to do in this case. $1.59 a gallon for regular, about ten cents less than anyone else that I have seen. Got our provisions and scurried home.
  10. Oh man, RIP. Always wrote great lyrics that told a story you could relate to. No grunts or groans just a beautiful voice.
  11. Like so many others this was a very informative build to follow. The exterior finish looks perfect, the stance is just right, and I still wonder why Ford didn't build it this way in the first place. Not seen here but the chassis is just as nice as the body. I also like the way you built the Flathead engine.
  12. Beautiful looking paint finish. Nice to see the blue interior as most are done in black and that was kind of normal at that time. The trim is all very cleanly done as is the decals. Nice back drop for your pictures.
  13. I'm going to follow this. I have a couple of both these kits so this is valuable information.
  14. Those are great looking decals.
  15. Should you lose interest in that '66 Bonneville I may have something you would rather have to trade.
  16. That is one fine looking Dodge you got there. I like the "Arrest Me Red" paint job.
  17. Great looking setup. I like your inventory. The heating problem you mentioned, I noticed an overhead duct in your area. I have cut into one of these ducts in a part of our basement and installed a Home Depot type register that you can adjust the flow with. This will work with your Air Conditioning in the same way. If you don't already have a dehumidifier I would suggest getting on to remove some of the humidity from the air in the basement. This may help extend the life of decals and card board boxes.
  18. Check the Hobby Lobby Stores in your area. We were out foraging yesterday and I saw the two I go to were open. The big 2 story tall and a couple of city blocks long shopping center across the street was closed completely. I understand that Hobby Lobby is trying to stay open and some states are trying to shut them down, so I would hurry if you're out of supplies.
  19. Not sure if this is directly related, but it does involve Future. I have been using Future to treat a kit's glass for some time. The build I have now had a spot in the center of the headliner that needed to be touched up. I lightly covered the spot by brush when it slipped out of my hand and left a couple of spots on the inside of the windshield. I was using decanted Tamiya AS-7 Gray. My first attempt was a water wetted cloth that managed to smear it a little. Next attempt was with Q-Tips and some Tamiya X-20A Thinner. This got the paint almost removed but it looked like I was also messing with the Future. Finally I finished it with some Meguiar's Plastx polish and that seemed to get the rest of the residue off the inside of the windshield. The windshield looks fine now, but I wonder if I should even keep using Future going forward ?
  20. I'll have to remember that if I should ever relocate. Sounds as if it's your own fault if you can't have a little fun in Washington. I have visited several times through the years and especially like the Olympic area. I have spent some rainy days at Pikes Market and enjoyed every minuet.
  21. The "Babylon-on-the-Potomac", I love it and wish I had been there. I have had a few dubious times during my miss spent youth.
  22. I looked again this morning. Seems like about every 30 minuets there is a upper 2 too a lower 3, except when it goes off a few times as close as 5 minuets to 10 minuets. The reason I mentioned structural damage is that once a building is damaged every after shock increases the chances of further damage from the constant shaking. I hope you and your family and friends are safe. This is a hard time to self isolate yourself if you don't have a safe place to do that. Stay safe and well.
  23. I have to agree with everyone about the Charger should have been a two door. Time and needs can change your life and how you view a certain car. Last year we replaced are beloved '10 Charger RT with AWD with a new '19 Charger GT with AWD. I still wish it was a coupe, but I sure love it as a driver. Look forward to your coupe build.
  24. The Road Kill guys didn't invent this but they sure brought a lot of attention to this sort of car. I like the Viper idea for your build, I might even consider keeping the hood over the engine. In many ways this isn't any different than the pre war guys striping down a '30's era car or truck. The guys today that are tearing up late model Corvettes or Vipers my live to regret such things, but in the mean time it sounds like a lot of fun to be had.
