I really wish I had known about these in the late '60's when I was playing around with a '56 F100.

The added interior structure looks perfect. You might want to consider having the doors open, it would be a shame not to be able to see all of your interior work.

Not that I know of. I think the best posable donor would be a kit of a heavy duty Ford truck from the '50's era, I don't remember every seeing any. Maybe some resin caster offers them. I might be a player for a set, if you find anything please let me know.

I think the "Rams-Horn" Y block exhaust manifolds were O.E.M. on the larger 1 Ton and up Ford trucks.

I like the dioramas, just wish they were in 1/24 scale. The Plymouth has a lot of possibilities also.

Not very familiar with this kit, but notice that on the face of the box it says "1 of 5" so that may explain everyone finding different kits inside their boxes. I guess I'm one of the few that enjoyed the movie. The movie was a comedy and not something done for an Academy Award. The movie was crude, rude, and socially unacceptable in it's content, but that is what made it funny at the time.

I like the light colors, the Sombrero Hub Caps and White Walls. With the nice looking Wood Floored Bed it would be a shame to use it as a Truck.

Very nice pair of Corvairs. The '69 kit has several options to build off of, I'm doing a Hardtop right now. I think that in later production models GM started putting the spare tire in the engine compartment, when it would clear the engine, since the front mounted trunk was not all that useable. I like that you made it a Convertible.

If you can find Model Master #2904 Kiln Red you'll have a perfect match. I used this for the interior on a model of our '86 Monte Carlo SS. You could hold the model's interior next to the vinyl portion of the seats in the 1:1 and it was perfect.

The Hudson truck was a very stylish vehicle for a pick up in it's time. Like all Hudson's it was well build and sturdy. They were not inexpensive to buy either.

I remember your post and I also agreed with you for pretty much the same reasons. I think we both admire the man and appreciate his accomplishments. He's a grown man and I would not be unthinkable to see him win another Championship.

I sure miss the "Orangutan". I used to enjoy watching the nonsense Top Gear.

The nice thing about these models is that they are very presentable as is. Should you consider changing them later you could. The stock Studebaker really catches my eye since I can't remember ever seeing one done stock and it is finished nicely.

Great find. Every now and then you'll see something of this nature show up. If you can you really need to save them.

Part of my motivation is based on an experience in the late '60's living in Southern California. There was a company I think was called Crown Engineering that offered kits and installations of small block Chevys in Corvairs. I actually got into an impromptu road race in the Santa Ana Canyon with one. He was kind enough to stop and wait for me to catch up to him. He gave me a chance to examine his car and we parted. With this build I plan on a low fire wall between the front seats and the engine. I'll place a clear plastic see thru lid on the engine compartment. The Radiator is were the Corvair engine was and the air will exit from the stock location under the rear bumper. This is how his was built, the only difference being he had a solid cover over the engine so it just looked like a cover over the back seat. That thing was unbelievably fast and easily pulled away from my 396/350 H.P. 4 speed '67 El Camino.

Beautiful restoration, and you stayed true to the theme. I also wish that the original stock Grand Prix was available.

Great assembly and paint finish. Those bumpers are difficult to get to sit straight.

Some great looking builds. I like the graphics on the orange Nova but it looks more '70's than '80's. The Pro Street movement was alive and well.

I'm fitting a Corvette LS engine and Trans Axle in the rear of a '69 Corvair. Since the gear box is between the engine and the axle the engine is a little further into the interior than I would like but I think I'll be able to make it look believable.

Great clean looking build. I started one a couple of years ago and got side tracked, Squirrel, after seeing this I really need to get back to it. You have the right stance and a great color.
