Snake45 Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 This sign was in the bathroom of the health care facility I busted out of today after nearly 5 weeks. Can someone explain to me what it means, and why it reads from right to left? What is the thing on the far left, and why is it apparently okay? 1
SfanGoch Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) It's a coffee cup. Welcome back. Edited June 1, 2022 by SfanGoch 2
Gramps46 Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 On the left is a trash can which is the correct receptacle for the feminine products. Very happy and relieved to have you back with us as I am sure you are too. 1

I think the pictogram could also be read: if the toilet's broke, there's no paper anyway, and you notice a tank of high-pressure gas with a fuse on it, pour yourself a shot-glass of something. EDIT...and glad you're back with a worthy item for contemplation. Edited June 1, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy PC 1
vamach1 Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Welcome back. I have a feeling the health care place will not miss you. ? 1
Dave Van Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I find the sign disgusting!!!!! How anyone can just ASUME that the pictured products are only used by those that identify as 'Famine'?!?! Even the term Feminine is disgusting.....completely ignoring the other 60 genders and excluding the new 'TOOTH' gender. How does this happen in 2022? ? 5 1
Vintage AMT Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I HAD TO LOOK THAT "TOOTH" GENDER UP...WHAT A KICK? 1
Mark Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 But if it were in Australia, it would be spiraling in the opposite direction... 1 2
vintagerpm Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The sign has nothing to do with multiple genders. Don't put stuff that isn't toilet paper in a toilet, put it in a trash can. 3
1930fordpickup Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Even "flushable " wipes are not that at all. My X liked to use those. Nothing like a backed up toilet because of it. If you think it is flushable do a simple test. Get 2 buckets of water. Fill 1/2 way to the top place the wipe in one and the equal amount of TP in the other. If the wipe does not break down as fast as the TP it is not flushable.
1972coronet Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The rendition of the terlit resembles the robot from Rocky IV.

stavanzer Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 So Great to See you back, Snake. Sign is odd, though.
peteski Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Seems that the entire world is "iconizinig", I guess they are understood by people speaking any language. At least this one did have an English text supplementing the pictures. Seems like we are reverting to the means of communication used in ancient Egypt. Pictures, no words.
89AKurt Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 ?⁉️ What did I miss? All I see is a ? in a blue square like this ?️. Welcome back!
afx Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Welcome back. Glad you had something to occupy your mind while you were in.
Tom Geiger Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) Per the sign... my grandfather had a sense of humor. One time we all were at a resort that had a sign in each bathroom that said "Place All Solid Material In Waste Basket".... He wondered out loud... ? Us kids thought he was hilarious! Welcome back Snake. Live long and prosper! Edited June 2, 2022 by Tom Geiger 1

It make sense about the iconizing for some things. Can you image how big that sign would have to be if it encompassed multiple languages. 1
BlackSheep214 Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ha! Someone put up a sign over the urinals at my workplace of a radar screen from Star Wars - Stay on Target. ROFL!
