  1. I saw this custom Corvette at Pebble Beach, last century.
  2. That is a very special Corvette. You Want A Pretty, High-Dollar Corvette? How About The One Of The Three Handbuilt Scaglietti Corvettes?
  3. like flies, spontaneously
  4. Is that a Cantback? Kamm tail aero design.
  5. He better not screw up that Ferrari 330GTC! My dad knew someone who had one, I was a young teen, every time we visited I bugged him for a ride. Finally he took me out, was running rough because it needed a tuneup (think that was required every thousand miles or so LOL). Prices at auction are ridiculous. Thanks for sharing pictures.
  6. Very nice job! This is a kit on my someday list. Feel lucky I got the HRM resin engine for it (still waiting on the Porsche 917 engine). Definitely top of my list too. The 917 is on the list, add some Lotus and Jaguars.
  7. I have not used either of those products, but I have done that with Squadron putty and regular CA glue.
  8. for catching Tyrannosaurus
  9. Good question! I've had some of mine that did not get an award that got published, to my surprise. Don't worry about it.
  10. I've been finding that out, many different model groups that are based on location of the Admins, the primary subject matter, how long in existence, etc. I do see the trend for the younger crowd is Tuners (for example). I joined a scratch-built model group, and then was able to see what people were into, and found it was R/C trucks mostly, which are still amazing, but I found out long ago what a money pit R/C is. I have also seen a real jet-powered SR-71 R/C plane, so when money is not limited....... THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, JUST DIFFERENT.
  11. Was wondering what a "stud" is, won't help if someone searches "Studebaker" you know. I like this, it's a classic, and good use of a Corvette.
  12. Cool way to use a crappy model, good job! I've done something like this with a Countach.
  13. Beautiful job on those FORDs! I used to own a '57 Chevy, and everyone refers to them as tri-fives. First time I have seen it used for Fords. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-Five
  14. I belong to the Old Farts Club, apparently the super majority on this forum. I'm going to be 57 next month. Was born in Page, AZ when the Glen Canyon Dam was about a third of the way up, and it's close to the end of it's useful lifespan; Will states I want my ashes dumped into the lake, if there still is one. Been building off and on since maybe 10.
  15. Oh Dann the Man, how can you stand seeing those pulleys and serpentine belt one-piece part? Don't you *need to* carefully saw those off, turn new pulleys from titanium, and wrap a grooved belt around them? Loving your progress!
