Went to the store on Airport Road , Allentown, Pa. Had the BRR, some big boats, diecast Pagani, Scooby Doo Biplane and Van, smaller Testor's diecast/pre-paint military kits ( planes, Jeep, tanks). Lindberg military. A 1/32 Revell fire truck and 1/48 Focke Wulf 190 fighter . No cars. I also went to the Tilghman St. store (also Allentown, Pa), they had a few left over C6 Corvettes from last time. The big Lindberg boats, BRR and the smaller Lindberg military stuff. They also had the '48 Ford Coupe and '66 Suburban. I picked up 2 Fords and 1 Suburban.

I had MANY 1/18 diecasts, as well as a number of mint cars and smaller scales and have experienced a wide range of deterioration. From paint rash to disintegration. I had cars that ranged from low cost Maistos up to high dollar models from Lane, GMP, AutoArt, etc. The problems did not discriminate....The models were stored in a very low light, temperature controlled, stable area. i was very careful with them, but the problems still occurred with a significant number of the models I had. Probably something like 1 in 4 had some type of issue. I got so disgusted, I sold nearly all of them. I have since pretty much stuck with plastic models. It has been my experience that it is not a question of if, but a question of when you will experience some level of damage when collecting diecast.

Got mine today at Walmart, went with the red. At $10, I will probably get the other colors if they turn up. Sam's Club has the 1/18 Maisto models. So far they have red and highlighter yellow with graphite stripes. I heard there is a Sam's Club exclusive color (orange?), but I haven't seen it yet. I would really like a nice plastic kit of the C8, it would be awesome if Tamiya would do it. Not holding my breath though......

Looks great so far!

That's Kool, Even though it is radical, the design is very smooth and balanced!

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....

I feel like Lucy just pulled the football out from in front of us, but not surprising, really. -
Ian Roussel's show and Roadkill are the two car shows I will watch in their entirety. Used to like the one with Peter Klutt, Dream Car Garage? He knows his stuff and seems legit, too. I don't even bother with stuff like Street Outlaws, Graveyard Cars, Counting Cars, Ass Monkey whatever it is, Overhaul'in, Bitch'n Rides, etc. Complete nonsense in my book. I will occasionally record Chasing Classic Cars or "Garage Squad" (which is goofy, but sometimes has somewhat neat cars), I usually fast forward through these and only stop on something if it interests me or to the end to see the finished car on Garage Squad. The absolute worst car show IMO was PINKS. Idiot premise and that bald dope that ran it wasn't even a car guy. LMAO when I saw the youtube video of him dumping his bike in front of a crowd at one of the events!

The '65 GTO, '65 Mustang and '65 Barracuda were originally Aurora kits, but were issued under Monogram in the late 70's/early 80's. They weren't snap kits though. The 1/32 Nova, '70 Trans Am, 69 Charger were pretty detailed and accurate with opening hoods and motors, but were not snap kits either. I guess, as always we will see, but after thinking about it, see my second post, it could very well be non-automotive subjects. ? -

I forgot that they also made Snoopy, military, airplane and helicopter snap kits. Atlantis might tend to do those before cars....... -

I am guessing the funny cars. Very nice kits for 1/32. There was a Duster, Charger, Mustang, Mustang II, Pinto, Camaro and Gremlin. The originals bring some $$$ on Ebay. The Gremlin being highly desirable. -
That is really nice! Love the G bodies! When I was a lad, I envisioned building a real mid 80's Cutlass or Grand Prix pro street car and it looked a lot like this! What I actually drove was a '79 Buick Century salon 4 door with a leaky V6.

Happy day to all of us in our "right minds". ? I shoot left handed, both pistol and rifle, which is fun when using a right ejecting shotgun or rifle, lol! For some reason, I bat right handed.

Beautiful work! The color is great also!

That is super nice! I really like everything about it! -
Another great project! Love the motor. A question, do you pin your parts together or use some type of glue? I notice you pretty much build everything sans paint and then disassemble to paint.
-
Great job on both!
