  1. When I was a young child , in Arlington Heights, going to White Castle was a very big treat. I remember getting the square ice cream scopes as well.
  2. I noticed a remote control '67 truck the other day at a local hobby shop that I go to. This may be an area to look at since I have seen several body styles that included muscle cars and other pick up body styles.
  3. I agree with everyone else on how great this turned out. I followed your build and the body work here is amazing and well thought out. I especially like how you made the wood bed cover.
  4. Great looking OEM style pick up. I like that you have something in the bed, and the "Diamond Plate" bed floor looks like so many in the old days. Very nice paint finish and color.
  5. Great looking T-Bird. I like the paint finish and all the chrome trim looks real clean. Very nice interior.
  6. When your given a Lemon you made Lemon-aid . Just like in the real world, when something is damaged beyond repair you create something out of what you have. Great looking build.
  7. Very realistic looking engine.
  8. I like the smooth look of your build. I have been following your build and I like the style of you build. Any final ideas on the grill yet ? I agree with Tom on the clear coat. I know many builders like the Duplicolor products and others, but I'm still in the camp that stays with one brand through out as the paint always seems to play nice with one another.
  9. They are both beautiful looking builds. I like that you restored the red one for your friend. This will also give you something to remember your friendship.
  10. Beautiful looking color and finish. With that color this would never get lost in a parking lot. I like how you detailed the engine with paint treatments.
  11. In the past I have used Model Master Stainless Steel Metalizer spray paint. This could be buffed to a nice sheen with a Q-Tip and then sprayed with their Metalizer Sealer so that the finish wouldn't rub off on the surrounding chassis parts. This would leave a pretty convincing looking exhaust system.
  12. I like the "Easter Egg Dip" paint treatment. Good looking engine and chassis also.
  13. I like the "crusty" look, as if it has been hiding in the woods somewhere.
  14. Great looking "Sin Bin". I like the way you did the decals better than the box art showed.
  15. I enjoyed watching this come together and I like the color scheme.
  16. I like the paint treatment and the engine looks good.
  17. Very clean looking build and the engine detail looks great.
  18. Your build looks like it has held up well with time. I have always thought this was an amazing kit especially for the time frame of when it came to market. The new Revell '57 Ford kits are the first to come close but still doesn't have the opening doors of this kit.
  19. Interesting body work and I like the paint job. The Surf Boards finish has an organic look to them. I also like the big engine, never have enough power.
  20. Great looking paint work and the chrome trim is all done very cleanly. I'm not a big Ford guy, but I liked these cars. I knew a couple of guys who worked together and ordered twins of these new. They were both Blue Mt. with White interiors and the 309 and 4-speeds.
  21. Nice looking Trans Am Firebird. This kit can be a bit of a challenge but your looks very nice. I like that you stead with the correct interior color. The green color on the second Firebird was seen on almost every other car at the time.
  22. Great looking faithful model. So many interesting stories about these cars.

    AMT 69 Cougar

Great looking Cougar and I like the unusual color as well.
  24. Great looking 1/4 miler. I like the old school sheet metal screws on the rear wheels to keep the tires from "walking" with the low tire pressure. Very clean looking finish and chrome trim. Nice wiring details as well as the engine.
  25. I like your idea to replicate the green car in the picture above. Like TarheelRick, I also think the stock taillight should be smoothed over. The center exhaust looks in keeping with this design also. You mentioned not having an engine, but if you change your mind it would have to be something different in keeping with the design. I'll enjoy watching your build on this.
