I built one of these last year and really liked it. As with most any kit with years worth of tool use there are a few minor fitment problems. The only issue that I would check before doing any body work is the fit of the kits windows. In my case the windshield fell thru the opening and the rear window wasn't much better. I just made new mounting points for the windows with some Plastruct .The Bed, I feel the bed should be pre fitted before final paint and then assembled. The area between the inner bed and the outer fenders can be seen after assembly so I would use a flat black color there. The bed is a little flimsy till the glue sets and I just glued the parts a step at a time. The alignment between the cab and the bed takes a little adjustment but not a real problem. The interior fits snug but at least it isn't trying to fall out during assembly. I would watch the leading edge of the dash board where it and the bottom of the windshield and the cowl all come together. This area may require a little sanding but nothing out of the ordinary. Remember mine had to have some mounting material added in that area so this my have been my own creation. Please post your build. If you should have a problems there are many far more skilled builders than myself here that will help if asked.

Great looking 'Burban. I'll bet the neighbors love you.

Most everything seems better after a couple of glass's of your favorite Vino. Sunday evening was the first time in months that it was comfortable to sit on the deck and my wife and I enjoyed some nectar of the gods.

That one might actually be more effective than any other home made mask I've seen. Just have to remember to duck going thru doorways or you'll have a sore neck.

Your paint job looks like a mirror. Very clean build.

Great looking build and nice clean detailing. The bed looks like it could be fun backed up to a beach somewhere.

Great looking build and I like the paint colors. The stance looks just like your 1:1 Dodge.

Beautiful looking paint work, you can even see the reflection from your counter in the paint. I'm a big fan of the pin striping as it reminds me of a much better time in the world. Very cleanly assembled and the interior is nicely done also.

This is really an impressive looking build. You don't often see a fenderless '40. As others have mentioned the way you have kept the proportions of the body and I understand the '40 is considered one of the hardest bodies to chop and still look right. The radiator shell idea is also unusual and looks great. Very clean paint lines and engine detailing.

Absolutely stunning. All of the features and details you've put in this are amazing. Anyone viewing this finished model and haven't followed the build really need to visit that to appreciate the finished model. -
Custom grille for rat rod or 60's show rod
espo replied to alan barton's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I recognized it right off. While I have owned many Pontiacs and do like them, I'm not offended in the least. I think it would be a great grill shell on a Rat Rod. . -

Big surprise this morning on the new format. While it was different it was also more logical to me. I realize this is still not formalized I would like to see at sometime the list of after market suppliers as we had before. I know it has been mentioned that was an area that needed some clean up and I'm sure there is more pressing issues at this time, but it would be nice to have that information in the future. And thank you for getting rid off all the popup garbage, that really was out of hand. So thank you again for that. -
We have several of their works on one of your Pandora play lists.

If your searching for options on the back pain you might try Balm of Gilead. Like you I suffer back pain after doing certain jobs around the yard and such. I first discovered this while on vacation in Northern Michigan in Travers City. The store has a web site www.creationphram.com. This is an Herbal Salve and works immediately on sore joints and musicales.

Looks great and especially the chassis detailing.

The first thing I noticed was the paint work, both the color and the finish. I like your idea for the parking and tail lights. Were the seats from the kit or something else ? -
Thanks for sharing. Do you still have any of these ?

Beautiful looking build. Very striking color. Your body work looks great the way it all flows together and works well with the original body lines.
-
Very well built. The Glitter paint looks just like the way the original Fiberglass was done. Nice rear Paddle Sand Tires. Nice color combination.

Looks great. Best way to add cu. in. to an engine is to add two more cylinders, right ?

This looks great. I'm sure you have upset many in the MB community but they'll just have to get over it. The SBC is sort of the default engine and it looks at home here. I also like the Bumper less smooth look with a great paint job. The Wheels also look perfect on this build.

I look forward to another one of your paint creations. The finish on the White look great.

I have been enjoying your Fairlane build. The interior and exterior colors look great together. I had a neighbor / CHP Officer that had one back in the day. The little 271 hp 289 cu in 4 speed car was his daily driver. You could hear the solid lifters as he cruised down the block after work.
