  1. Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Great job on the build.
  2. Going to be a cool combination. Looking forward to updates.
  3. I found one in the AMT 49 Mercury kit, I used it on my '34 pickup.
  4. Looking forward to your progress on this build. Going to be interesting watching that hull take shape.
  5. Some really great pictures. You got me with that peach '64 Mercury big-block 4-speed car and if I can't have that one I would like that black Torino, both are rare beauties.
  6. I really miss my '72 Westphalia. I kick myself everyday, traded it for a 78 Rabbit - what was I thinking!!
  7. This is why I build models, because I cannot afford the real thing. You all have some really good looking 1:1 projects coming along.
  8. Very nice save an an iconic hot rod. I'll bet that one whistled when it went down the strip. Also wonder how it got through tech inspection with that fuel tank on the running board right beside the driver. Looking forward to more of your saves, keep'em coming.
  9. Definitely a different build. I really like what you are doing with this one. Never been much of a Batman fan, "Spidey" was my hero.
  10. Very fine looking old warrior; about time to reskin her and put a few more years on it. As the others have said that is some excellent weathering and damage work.
  11. Good start on this one Sam, looking forward to updates. I actually think the ob used a wire brush rather than 220, the 220 would have been smoother. ?
  12. Can't tell you had any problems. Looks like a driver to me.
  13. Looks like a dealership brochure; very nice, clean build.
  14. Are you sure that engine shot is not a 1:1? The detail is outstanding.
  15. Outstanding Nova. Beautiful overall build, but I really like the paint work - two thumbs up.
  16. That is some excellent work; beautiful build. Keep those updates coming.
  17. Alright, it seems some people really like to play with the parts and pieces of MOPARs, so what are your thoughts on this one? It has a pretty bad photoshop going on, but the idea is there.
  18. Excellent build. I am in awe of you guys that build these highly decorated cars, the decal work has such precision.
  19. Almost all decals will show haze around the edges when applied to satin or flat finish paints. The only way I know to overcome that is to paint the surface with a gloss clear first, apply the decal and when dry repaint with a semi-gloss or flat clear.
  20. One other thing that has not been mentioned about those 180 degree headers is their sound is undeniable. A full race program of those cars on the track at one time will make goose-bumps all over your body. Really an incredible sound.
  21. Sure wish Round 2 would reissue some of the 3-n-1 kits with the original 3-n-1 parts, especially some of the styline kits. I have a couple of the 61 Ford Galaxies, but would love to see the 57 T-Bird, 57 Chevy, and a couple of the others. Some of those "customs" were truly unbelievable, but were a fun challenge to build.
  22. There was one episode a few years back where Frank did buy a small collection of models, probably around 20 or 30, most were annual kits from the early/mid 60"s. I think he paid around $25 a piece for the kits. Made me want to cry, because I know if they were to actually resell them the price would be north of $100 each.
  23. Just received my end of a trade with Paul Payne, very pleased
  24. Excellent build, the color combination fits that body really well. I like the looks of the chrome, did you do something to it or is that straight out of the box?
  25. Interesting idea, guess I will have to raid my pill bottle selection.
