  1. I like the way you finished the paint. You can see that there was a color change in the past and this road warier has seen some miles from the chipped paint. The engine is a great idea. Long beds ride a lot smoother as well.
  2. You captured the look of the old Flat Fender Jeep. Just the right amount of wear and grime. I also had a couple of friends who had Flat Fenders way back when. I would buy some beverage to wet our whistle and we would crawl around the Fire Roads in the National Forest till dark.
  3. Looks great. You would never know how bad the Grill and Bumper were.
  4. Followed your build, and seeing it finished and looking this good has to be rewarding. I like how you made into a coupe body style and the changes to the front end look great.
  5. I also like the color as well. The trim is all nice and clean looking. These almost looked like a Kustom when they were new.
  6. In addition to the great looking paint work your save on the A pillar looks like it never happened. The Wheel and Tire upgrade looks far more interesting than the stockers.
  7. I like the whole Tow / Boat idea. You mentioned a problem with the rear window ?
  8. Glad to see this one is back on the bench. We had a 2010 Charger RT with the AWD. I have a couple of pictures if you want any for front or rear exterior trim pictures, and there is the net of course.
  9. Beautiful looking 1:1 car and you seem to have all the right parts to replicate it. I like the Hood you put together. You mentioned the rear sway bar. Should the plastic stock not work out consider using some fine wire of the correct gauge,
  10. Great idea. Some thoughts on the rear window and the bulkhead below it. The rear window could be made into a wrap around rear window only a little more wrap around than say a mid '50's Chevrolet pickup. The bulkhead underneath would be hand formed. Another idea might be to raid an old AMT '55 Nomad kit since it has the roof, rear window and bulkhead as a build option and those parts might be made to fit here.
  11. While I'm not a fan of green colored cars or vinyl roofs, this seems to really look good together and a great representation of that era. Great looking engine.
  12. Great video and thankyou for sharing.
  13. I remember seeing a few videos where the builder masked the chrome moldings and then spray painted the chrome trim. This is one way we all might have to try going forward until a better chrome foil becomes available.
  14. I think that the Revell Mercury Cougar kit had a V6, this is the one that shared the basic body with the Turbo and V8 Thunderbird models. The Revell '68 Firebird also offered the OHC six cylinder as an option to the 400 engine in the kit.
  15. I like your Drag Racing theme on this build and the scoop you're using would be needed with that carburation setup. Back in the day there were some class depending on the sanctioning bodies that would allow a hood scoops in the Stock classes. The one I recall seeing on many of the GM based cars was actually a part that Ford sold to be used on some of their heavy duty trucks. That design wouldn't fit the way your build is going, this is only some FIY type info. The scoop I recall was not very high and I think it was made out of aluminum with a few ridges running down the middle. Glade to hear you were able to fix the grill fitment issue.
  16. Going to look great when done. I have a question about your tires. The tread pattern looks like the tires have a directional tread pattern and the picture showing the right rear tire looks like the tread pattern is reversed.
  17. I agree with everyone else on the paint and the head rests. Amazing how good you can make one of these older AMT style kits look with a bit of extra detailing.
  18. I like the idea of combining the old and the new. Beautiful paint work on what looks like a stock body save the windshield. The interior besides being nicely detailed is all modern in design. The chassis and drive train is all new as well.
  19. Nice looking paint color and should look good with the interior you described .
  20. Great looking body conversion. I like the paint treatment.
  21. Great looking color. Short of getting some OEM paint I don't think you could get any closer on the color. The interior is really clean looking. Very nicely done engine.
  22. Impressive looking engine.
  23. Looks like a great way to retro fit any car or truck.
  24. This car always looked so cherry in all the pictures I remember seeing.
  25. This has happened with these lights in the past. We used these same lights at our old house on the railing around the deck. The wind can get pretty windy hear in the edge of the Pierie and these thing would bang around on the railing. This would cause some sections to work off and on. They have worked thru ice storms and snow, wind is the only thing that seems to effect them.
