  1. Well done! I got one in a parts bundle but it was missing the wheel wells. I did mine in white, but I must admit that yours looks terrific in aluminum! The decals are a nice add!
  2. A quick update on the Tiger. Well we finally got the engine back from the speed shop. Had the heads opened up to get the compression ratio down to 8.0:1 so that it will run on that bad Mongolian fuel. We changed the carb to an Edelbrock small bore 4 barrel to help increase the torque, and went to a high flow water pump. The gang and I threw on a pair of Cobra valve covers we had laying around, along with a set of headers which we had ceramic coated to hold in the heat. Finally we dug up some racing seat frames which we plan to add some padding to.
  3. I have a spare set from the Revell Camaro kit that I have extras of. These aren't as deep as the pic you show, but it is possible to take the centers out and glue them into deep rims. Also, I don't have the wheel backs.
  4. Thanks Mark. I used to play around with TurboCad years back but never really got serious.
  5. These kinds of builds are the reason why we need regulation of model cars. This kind of unchecked imagination can be detrimental to mental health. ...but I love it!!
  6. I used to be 5'-11", now I'm 5'-10" at age 62. I have to look up to my daughter now! But that's okay too.
  7. Good way to keep track of your build Pat. Nice start.
  8. My wife's been pushing me to get into 3D drawing but it seems a little daunting. Did you design those from scratch?
  9. I've been retired since this past August. I too got tired of the corporate B.S. and all the mergers and org changes, and luckily I didn't have to take it anymore. I find myself doing more research, and learning about cars and models than actually building them. Part of it is that my daughters pet occupies my "one day" workshop, and I tire of having to set up and take down every night. I do spend more time on my models than before, but I get up every week day and after breakfast and newspaper (sic), I go to the gym. Then the honey do list. I have an inventory of my kits, and a build sheet for most of them outlining my build ideas for each one. I don't always stick to the original plan though.
  10. Very nice work, no matter the scale!
  11. I agree! I don't use the tagging either, so maybe it needs to be emphasized.
  12. Nice work!
  13. I love the build. Hope you get it done in time. That IRS is sweet. Its a different take than what I did where I built the assembly and then attached it to the frame. Looks like you attached the diff to the frame, and then added the axles and A-arms. It looks very realistic that way.
  14. Very nice build Don! Looks like the real deal!
  15. Very nice job Don! I recently completed a very similar mild custom Starliner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looks like you did too!
  16. Okay, so what is meant by this in the rules? Not trying to muddy the waters, just clarification for myself. "Commercial or military vehicles such as light trucks, vans, ambulances, pick-ups and utility 4x4 vehicles are not eligible."
  17. Hey Aaron, I don't believe 4x4 is allowed in the P to P. Your other mods seem okay.
  18. Sweet! One and all!
  19. I bought the 3D engine for my pending AFX Mustang build. I think its a nice engine, excellent fit and detail for the most part except the Ford logo on the valve covers. However I haven't painted them yet and they may show better with primer on them. The surface is slightly rough, kind of like cast iron in scale. Here I glued on the front cover and heads.
  20. Oh yeah, that's a sweet looking project!!
  21. Wow! I had that Apollo spaceship many, many years ago!
